1. Find the roof
Try any address. In mock mode, the address no solar coverage simulates a
location outside the Solar API's coverage, and no results simulates a
failed geocode.
2. Confirm roof geometry
These three fields are now a combined summary (total area, area-weighted average tilt, and average facing) across every roof plane traced below — edit tilt per plane in the table instead.

Trace the roof from above
Click points around one roof plane's outline on the map, in order, then finish that facet. Most roofs have more than one plane — trace the outline of each peak/slope as its own facet (they can share edges along a ridge or hip). Each facet gets its own area and a guessed facing direction; the backend runs every facet through PVWatts at its own tilt/azimuth and sums them into one combined estimate. Tilt still needs your own estimate per facet, since a straight-down view can't show pitch.

3. Choose a panel
Every field the power model needs (Sheet 07). Values are only checked against plausible ranges — nothing here blocks submission.
